Born and raised in the scenic coastal region of Kilifi County, Ian Munyoki’s story is one of determination, resilience, and unwavering hope. As the youngest in a family of five, Ian’s early life was marked by challenges, but also by the strength and love of a single parent who worked tirelessly to provide for the family. Despite the odds, Ian’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the transformative impact of education and opportunity.

Riziki Kaingu’s story is one of sheer determination and unyielding hope. Born and raised in Mariakani, Kilifi County, Riziki is the second of three children. Despite her family’s financial constraints preventing her from attending secondary school, Riziki’s determination to secure a better future never waned. In October 2019, she took a leap of faith and traveled to Saudi Arabia to work as a housekeeper, hoping to save enough money to change her life.

At the core of Maandani, nestled within Kilifi County’s Kaloleni subcounty, 23-year-old Gladys Mghoi Yama stands as a testament to resilience and determination. As the eldest of three sisters raised by their devoted grandmother, Gladys has always carried the weight of responsibility for her family. Despite her efforts, finding a job after graduating from Maandani Secondary School in 2021 with a D- proved an uphill battle.
